Tanya has always strived to give back to mob and show others that they can overcome and heal. Her passion to give back saw her make huge leaps in her career, starting as trainee student at Tauondi College where she then was given the opportunity to take on the role of Restorative Engagement Practitioner for Metropolitan Aboriginal Youth and Family Services.
Tanya now works in the Child Diversion Program in Aboriginal Practice and Services for Youth Justice Department of Human Services where she is highly regarded by her colleagues and sought out for her opinions, support and cultural knowledge. To this role, Tanya brings so much compassion, empathy and acts of truth-telling to her work with young mob and their families.
Tanya will always put her hand up to help family, friends and her extended community, often putting her own needs second to help others.
